We are four friends who are all self employed in the creative industries. Cathy Pope Jewellery is a jewellery designer/tv wardrobe stylist,  Ema Frost- Illustrator / Designer is an illustrator/artist,  Sacha Stejko Photography photographer and Hayley King is aka Flox – stencil artist extraordinaire. Together we came up with this project to find new ideas and inspiration for our work, travel and share our knowledge through teaching and giving something back to the people who we meet along the way. From Sep 2-17 we’ll be in the town of Udaipur, India teaching 3 days of workshops in art and jewellery making to children 9-13yrs at a small village school. We’ll then spend 3-4 days painting a large scale outdoor mural facing out to Lake Pichola in Flox and Ema Frost styles featuring elements of native Indian animals, flora and fauna. Cathy will be designing a bespoke limited edition necklace and all elements will be videoed and photographed by Sacha. After returning to NZ we’ll be exhibiting our new work at Allpress Gallery Dec 5-10 with 20% of proceeds being donated to buying art supplies for the children back in India and also acknowledging children in NZ via KidsCanNZ. Thanks for following us on our journey. We’ve been planning this for six months and we’re pretty excited to see how it all unfolds!
