We make our photos look effortless and easy but there’s so much prep that goes into each shoot. We shot The Pink City range in early May and the team was made up of Photographer Sacha Stejko, Makeup/Hair/Nails Tanya Barlow and the beautiful model Ruby Richardson from Unique Model Management. I had a strong vision of how I wanted The Pink City to be perceived and creating this campaign with a really sharp team of professionals was key. Together as a creative team we developed and refined the concept of this shoot over about a month. We created a Pinterest board and contributed images and consulted each other regularly.
The brief was to show the jewellery on a blonde who was tanned and glowing. I wanted to use soft, warm tones, lots of contouring and highlighting and make her look sexy and aspirational. The new range is much finer and more delicate, so the best way to showcase the jewels was to shoot tight angles and keep everything simple and classic. It was a long but really exciting and satisfying day and everyone was really excited about the results. The star of our shoot was Skip the bearded dragon who climbed on Ruby’s shoulder and posed like a model. We threw some chunky chokers on Ruby and magic!!!! We even made a mini film while we were shooting which you can watch below.
