Some collaborations feel effortless — like they were always meant to happen. That’s exactly how the Cathy Pope x Daisy Dagg “Love Notes” Collection came to life.
It all began with a gift. Daisy’s sister gave her one of my heart necklaces, and from that day forward, she wore it daily, posted it on her Instagram and soon she was inundated with messages asking where it was from. That piece became more than jewellery — it became a personal talisman, a reminder of connection and beauty that she carried with her. When Daisy finally posted on her stories that her sister had bought it from Cathy Pope, we finally crossed paths and connected through Instagram - as you do these days! We discovered a shared love of jewellery that’s both meaningful and wearable. Daisy suggested we do something together and a spark was struck. The idea of collaborating felt like the most natural next step.
The Spark of Collaboration
“I’ve always loved jewellery, but especially pieces that feel meaningful and can be worn often without losing their beauty or intention. There’s something about the way Cathy designs — timeless yet expressive — that really resonated with me.” – Daisy
Jewellery, for both of us, has never been about trends. It’s about energy, memory, and meaning. The way a piece can transform how you feel or remind you of someone you love. When we sat down to dream up this collection, we knew it had to hold that same intention. Strong, feminine, lasting. We had to find the balance of what we both liked, which wasn't always the same. Daisy steered Cathy away from crowns and handmade organic forms, and Cathy scaled up in size, directing slightly bolder statement pieces that her brand was best known for. One thing was mutually agreed on: that rose quartz was the gemstone we both loved.
Why Rose Quartz?
The heart of this collection is rose quartz — the crystal of unconditional love, compassion, and emotional healing. Known as the “stone of the heart,” rose quartz carries a soothing, nurturing energy that feels like a balm for the soul.
Every piece in this collection has been designed as a love note to yourself. A gentle reminder to pause, to feel, and to honour the softer parts of your strength. Whether you wear it for a special occasion or on an ordinary day when you need a little lift, these pieces are designed to reconnect you with yourself.
A Collaboration That Feels Right
This wasn’t just about making jewellery — it was about alignment. Two women coming together, both with different backgrounds but with a shared vision: to create something authentic, beautiful, and lasting.
“I hope this collection gives people a moment — a reason to pause, get dressed up, and feel truly beautiful and inspired. These pieces are like tiny love notes — reminders of your strength, your softness, and the power of honouring who you are.” – Daisy
Daisy and I shared ideas of what we each liked on Pinterest and Instagram, creating mood boards, and once they'd agreed on a design that I drew, the sampling began. The first samples just didn't work at all, and I wasn't happy with the quality of the rose quartz from India, so we stepped things up with the finest rose quartz from Brazil. It's transparent with a beautiful smooth colour, and the chequerboard cut stone looks so pretty when it catches the light. We also had to rethink the earrings and the flower at the top. After much deliberation, we decided on the Mt Cook Alpine Lily sitting pretty above the sweetest heart shape. For me, collaborating with Daisy has been inspiring in every sense. It was challenging sharing the design process as I’m used to doing everything, but my strengths came in the technical manufacturing and marketing areas &
