Something old, something new….

In April I was invited to contribute to a photo shoot organised by Old St Paul’s Cathedral in Wellington. Their vision is to offer tradition with a modern twist to Old St Pauls existing elegance.  The direction is about getting away from an old Church image, which of course it is and always will be, but updating its appeal as a fulfilling traditional something old,  with something new. They’ve produced a shoot of style and modern elegance in the traditional Church setting and it was great styling that paired by modern but timeless jewellery with beautiful vintage dresses.

Some of the other collaborators and  NZ designers were Mandatory Menswear, Yvette Edwards Floral Stylist, Paperswan Bride, Mi Piaci and photographer Amy Schulz.

Old St Pauls was built in 1866 as an Anglican Parish church and is a stunning example of wooden gothic architecture of its time.  Now and since the 1960’s the Church is cared for by Heritage NZ and is non-denominational offering weddings to a wider community, both civil service, religious (all beliefs) and same sex.
